Tony Balkissoon is Laura Jarrett’s spouse. They met at Harvard Law School when they were both students. Tony Balkissoon was born in 1984 in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, and grew up there.
In addition, he earned his B.A.Sc. (with honors) in 2007 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2010.
Tony was also named a Dean’s Scholar for Trademark Law and Gender Equality at Harvard Law School.
Balkissoon began his legal career in a Chicago law firm, where he was involved in high-stakes patent litigation and defended pro-bono clients in criminal and immigration issues.
He also clerked for two federal judges, including the Honorable Manish S. Shah of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Laura Jarrett, on the other hand, is a law graduate who works as a CNN justice correspondent.
Laura and Tony are the parents of two children: James Anthony Balkissoon (born on July 14, 2019) and June Tahay Balkissoon (born on July 17, 2022).
